Losing too much weight!?

I have been back at my 1200 calorie diet and initially I had no plans to workout and I can't do much because of knee injuries. However, I do manage to walk a mile 3 to 4 times in a week. As of starting my diet this previous Monday and it will soon be Monday again, I've lost 6lbs in a week. I'm not sure if that is safe? Or if I've lost a lot because I'm 5'3 and currently now at 207.5lbs. Any thoughts, comments, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Weight loss tends to be quicker at the beginning due to water weight coming off. It should stabilize in a week or two.

In my first month I dropped 10-15lbs most of which came off in the first couple weeks it has now evened out to roughly 1.5lbs per week. Give it some time and if you are still losing at such a high rate you can always readjust your intake.

It could easily be normal weight fluctuations or water weight, I wouldn't worry or let it throw you off too much. If you feel like it's a problem, talk to your doctor!
