Need Ideas to lose those last 10 lb (of 30 lb goal)...

Lost 20 of my 30 lb goal since sept 20, but am at a bit of a plateau. Does anyone have a suggestion to break through?

Patience. :) How long have you been at a plateau?

Perhaps an adjustment to your exercise program or diet or perhaps both. How much have you varied your program since Sept?

Thanks for the input!!! For the plateau duration, It looks like about 3 weeks. My workouts are mainly outdoors ( stairs/push-ups/pull ups/ abs/ walking) 4x per week. Here in Seattle, rainy/ cold weather may force me indoors on a new routine. I will try that and see how it goes in January. I hoped to reach my goal by mid February for a trip to London.

Plateau... U will need to change ur routine cuz ur body will get use to the same ole regimen. Also remember a pound is equivalent to 3,500 calories. For every deficit u create and once u hit a 3,500 calories deficit u lose one pound. Hope this helps (:

If you're not losing weight, it isn't an exercise issue - it's a food issue. Are you accurately recording everything that you eat/drink?

Sidenote: Everyone is different. If you ARE recording all food/drink intake (even those extra bites here and there) and are consistently meeting or MFP calorie goal (rather than going over too often) then the weight will come off. When I was in weight loss mode I would go 3 or 4 weeks without a loss even though I was doing everything right. Then suddenly around week 4 or 5 I'd lose 6 pounds all at once rather than having lost it incrementally over the course of the month.

If you go longer than a month without any loss, then perhaps dial your calorie goal down by 100 calories for a few weeks (so if your goal is 1800 calories each day, try going with 1700 each day for a few weeks) to see if that helps.
