Hi guys, i am looking to loose weight and tone up. I want to get to the stage where i am lean. First of all i was wondering what the best form of diet and exercise is best? And second of all i was wondering if protein shakes or any supplements will help me?? I am not huge but i feel like i'm starting to get a bit chubby and just want to get lean again. Any answers and tips will be extremely helpful. Thankyou!!!! By the way i'm an 18 year old male that weighs 13.4 stone. Looking to get to about 11.4

Try doing something that uses weights. If you build muscle your body will burn fat and hopefully get what you are looking for

Use the MFP guided goals setup thingy with your stats, set it to 1lb a week weight loss.

Then all you need to do for the weight loss aspect is eat in the calorie deficit it builds into your goal figure.

Doing a progressive overload lifting program such as Stronglifts 5x5 and treating the protein goal MFP gives as a minimum will help you retain as much muscle as possible and get lean.

You need to figure out your maintenance.
Go to scooby's website (or an aggregate average from various websites) and figure out this number.
From there eat at no more than a 500 calorie deficit.
Lift heavy and incorporate cardio if you want to get there faster.
Since you will be at some deficit IMO you should eat 1lb/bodyweight/per gram of protein which can be achieved with the help of protein powder (not necessary if you can get that from foods).

    Good luck.

For protein, I boiled a chicken breast and just ate the thing. About 25 grams of protein with a bit over a 100 calories that keeps you full for hours and hours. Give that a try? Could you?
I always keep some in the fridge in case I ever have a hunger attack.
