My husband and I are eating low carb & he eats 2 protein bars a day for his snacks. He wants to cut out sugar alcohols and see how that impacts his weight loss.

Any ideas for snacks that are low carb & don't need to be kept cold?

Almonds, pistachios, macadamias. Apples are nice as well.

Beef Jerky is very good for low-carb snacking - and it's great protein. Avoid the flavored jerkys though.

40 Calorie Banana Cookies (they are super yummy)

    Ingredients
    • 3 ripe bananas
    • 2 cups rolled oats
    • 1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
    • 1/3 cup Apple Sauce
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Directions
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
    2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Stir in oats, dates, oil, and vanilla. Mix well, and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    3. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly brown.

I hope you enjoy this pretty healthy snack as much as myself & my partner do!

These sound good, but not really very low on the carbs.
  • I forgot about jerky! I could put together little snack packs of jerky and nuts.

Those cookies do look great, but not low carb :(

Pork rinds, string cheese sticks, celery & cucumber or other veggies with dressing, and sf jello :)
