hi my calorie recommendation from mfp is 1420. How should I sort this according to how many for breakfast lunch dinner and snacks?

And also, do people log tea/coffee?

However you want. Meal timing/size is personal preference.

I think most do (they still have calories, just very few). It's the additions (cream/milk/sugar) that will add up, though.

I think that's best up to you. I personally use mine 300ish breakfast, 300ish lunch, 100-150 for a snack, with the rest for dinner so I am less tempted to eat late night junk! What works for me, may not for you, so experiment if you really have no idea.

I only log drinks that have something in them, even if it's just sodium. So black tea, or unsweetened tea, no.

    However you'd like.

Also, with MFP if you're exercising and logging your exercise burns you get to eat a bit more.

Just log your food the the way you ate before joining MFP, look at your eating patterns. If breakfast is a big thing for you, keep it that way. Just decrease the portions to fit your new goal.

After dinner snacks are important to a lot of people. If they are to you too make sure you leave some spare calories.

You don't have to alter how, when, or what you eat, just how much, so once you know your eating pattern, reduce your calories, gradually.

A bit of pre planning to begin with will help you with appropriate portion sizes.

    Cheers, h.
