I don't use the Fitbit calorie adjustment but I think it's free. I put in my exercises into MFP under "exercises" and see if the calories they allocate seem OK to me. Usually they're too high by about 30-50%.

I have a Fitbit, and you do not have to pay. It syncs with mfp app. I only log my work outs in mfp, but do get a Fitbit adjustment many days that I'm active (I under estimate my calorie burn when working out). On days I do not go to the gym, but am active doing household things I get a credit. Only log your workouts in mfp and be sure you log the correct times or you will receive too much of a "credit".

If you have a FitBit, you can sync it with MFP and it will adjust your calories based on activity for the day. I have one, and log all my exercise through FitBit, and all my food through MFP. It's been a good combination. If you do not have a FitBit, you can log your exercise here, and consume some (50-75%) of those calories back. For many people, the MFP estimations of calories burned are a bit high. Once you know how it is working for you (6-8 weeks of data), you can adjust your eating accordingly.
