Buying Weights

I want to buy some relatively light hand weights (5lb-ish) to do 30DS and general strength exercises with. I live in the UK. I'd quite like to buy them online but I expect postage costs would be a bit of a nightmare... Where did you buy your weights from? I'm pretty clueless about this kind of thing, what should I look for? Being a poor student it would be great if they were cheap too!

If your in the UK then you can buy them from ARGOS, they do home delivery as well.0

Do you have something like Craig's List over there? Perhaps a classifieds section of a local newspaper? Used work-out equipment is pretty inexpensive when you buy from the public.
I bought mine at a sporting goods store (****'s). They were not inexpensive, imo.

We bought ours used from a private party who placed an ad selling them. Much cheaper!0

I got my weights and KettleBell from a Tesco Extra. They are online too.0

Argos is probably your best bet, or sports direct for cheaper weight sets.
Maybe even check ebay, or the classified ads...at the end of the day your body wont know if you are using a shiny new set of weights or a rusty old set.
Best of luck!0 -
Thank you everyone, all really great suggestions!0
