Does anyone still miss the full feeling

I grew up with eating to overfull as the norm. I never liked it, but my brain still thinks that's the right way for me to eat. I never reflected on the meanings of "full" and "enough" Just a few days ago, I realised that when I eat, I just have to "top up" to tide me over until next meal, not "fill up" completely as if I'm never going to eat again.
Sometimes I feel uneasy when I leave the table and still have room for more - parts of my brain think that is heresy and give me this reaction:

Yes. On the rare occasion I let myself get really full, I remember how awful it feels!0

I find now that I only seem to need that full feeling at night. Not sure what that's about except I know that I feel a little sad at the end of the day when eating is done. Usually I can counteract that by getting busy with something else, but I'm still practicing how to get myself to stop before I hit that "full" point. Always a work in progress!0

You mean the slightly nauseated feeling? Not at all. That was one of the main reasons I decided to lose weight.0

No, I'm usually full with all of my meals, even in a deficit. It's all about balancing your foods and making them work for you.0

Nope. But then I've always had a tiny appetite and also food has never interested me- I'd rather be doing something else other than eating.0

Sometimes. I have a problem with eating very quickly, and at times where I'm allowing myself the indulgence, I'll find that the feeling I associate with "full" becomes "did I swallow a cannonball?" after about ten minutes or so. But there are times where I want to keep eating and miss the abandon of doing so without having strong feelings about the consequence.0

The stuffed feeling? Frankly, I don't miss it because it made me feel even more like crap. But what I do miss is the mindlessly stuffing oreos and m and m's and large bowls of macaroni and cheese in my mouth without giving a care everyday because there was a comfort in doing so. But then logging properly (for the past week), knowing what a proper portion looks like, and the fact that I've been eating waaaay less calories in comparison to when I don't care at all trumps the "I miss it feeling".0

I loathe when I stuff myself to the gills. My problem is that I hate the feeling of hunger. Even though hunger is okay, I hate when I feel it. Which is why I always tended to stuff myself sick.0

Nope, because now that I am so long into this (almost 4 years), I *do* feel full. It just takes much less food to get me there. In the beginning, I didn't ever feel full, but now that I am used to a much smaller serving of food, I absolutely get that full feeling. Stick with it long enough and your body *will* adjust and you'll get that feeling back.0

All. The. Time. After two months of losing weight I still haven't gotten used to never feeling completely full or satisfied. I'm always hungry it seems. Lol0
