What is ground round? Is it a kind of meat? Can you search the database for steak or similar?

Use 'USDA' in the search, that will help you find the correct one.

If you feel the need to double check the NI, you can find it on the USDA website.

the meat is AF County Market - so store brand, so I don't think it will be in the database. I scanned the bar code on the package just for the heck of it and it came up Angus Beef Round - Eye of Round. Steak (private Selection). Um, I don't think so.

I tend to go with the most common number in that instance. It looks like 240 calories is the most common result when searching for USDA ground round. So I tend to take one of those.

That could very well be the cut of meat that was ground--it certainly makes sense, since you said it was ground round. The calories don't change just because they ground up the roast or steak. Is the place you bought it the kind of place that has a butcher on site who could have ground it?

No, not that I know of. It is just a high priced grocery store
