So I got a Fitbit Flex for Christmas and have a question regarding it and MFP. Do I log anything into Fitbit for exercise (say I did the treadmill at the gym or took a walk)? If I add any kind of exercise to fitbit then it reduces my overall step count for the day. I log my exercise into MFP.

Assuming MFP/Fitbit are synced, then it depends on the exercise.
If you do obvious step based exercise like running, hiking, or walking then you don't, and shouldn't, log it as a workout in MFP OR Fitbit. Fitbit will know you ran/hiked/walked from your steps, and calculate your calories appropriately and then send the data over to MFP.
If you did exercise that isn't step based, i.e. swimming, yoga, cycling, lifting, etc. then you would need to log that exercise on MFP.0 -

I think most of us use MFP to log food (it's strength) and use Fitbit to log any exercise (it's strength).
I do know that I completely ignore Fitbits calorie info. They will take you to silly low levels of allowable calories. Plus the "calories left" is confusing and cumbersome.0 -
Thank you!!! Yes the two are synced. So recent exercise (fitbit) would be more for logging in non stepped movement (swimming, biking, etc)?0

Yep. Just go into the activities log and enter swimming. Make note of the start and stop times. the Fitbit database of exercise seems to be more accurate than MFPs. Plus if all activity is done in one, and the food in another, they won't "trip over each other"0 -
Which one (MFP or Fitbit) is good for adding any weight/strength exercise done at the gym?0

It doesn't matter in which app you enter non-step activity. They will sync together either way. I find MFP easier.0
