I'm in the need of a new meat or something that's still lean! I'm always eating chicken and I'm beginning to not enjoy it..
I'm also a very picky eater which does not help with my situation!!

Most seafood is very lean. I like salmon, halibut, steelhead, and shrimp. You can also get very lean pork like boneless sirloin chops. Ground turkey breast (not just ground turkey) is also good and very versatile.

Try using more herbs and spices, it can really change the taste of chicken, you can also eat chicken thigh here and there, just careful as it has more fat. As far as other sources of lean protein goes, fish is a great source and there is so many options that taste differently. You can also always eat lean cuts of pork and beef, I just wouldn't suggest eating it on daily basis.
I try to eat fish at least 2 meals a week, 1-2 meals max lean pork or beef, and the rest chicken and turkey breast.
  • Since seafood and turkey have already been mentioned, you can also do lean cuts of beef or ground beef (93% lean and up) or change it up and do some wild game such as venison. Bison is also surprisingly lean. You could also try vegetarian protein options. Tempeh is extremely high protein and very versatile.

Or maybe you just need to change up what you're doing with chicken.

Maybe by explaining what "being a picky eater" means to you may help us with suggestions. What's "picky" to you may not mean the same to everyone.

With that being said, it was mentioned before to try using different herbs and spices. Maybe even try different sauces and/or marinades. I know I have found TONS of great guidelines on Pinterest. With the recipe importer here on MFP it has been quite a great way to add variety to my eating habits.

For me, personally, I have cooked chicken about 500 different ways loving just about everything. Also, tinned tuna in water has been a great "last minute", pantry item for protein.

Boiled shrimp. I just peel them and eat with a bit of lemon or lime juice and a few drops of hot sauce. They go fine with a lot of side dishes.
