    By how much?

A couple hundred mg probably isn't a big deal unless you have hypertension (high blood pressure) or a similar medical condition that requires you to keep it low.

Still, if it concerns you, go through the last few days of your food diary to identify specific foods that may be over-contributing sodium to your diet, and see if there are lower-sodium substitutes you can swap them out for.

Are you under directions of a doctor? One way to limit sodium is to avoid processed foods.

No, just from my dairy on here.

I'm supposed to be doing low sodium. It's causing problems. I don't eat veggies anymore because without salt they taste horrible. And the next person who recommends MrsDash or a similar foul concoction gets a beating. So it's just fruit now. Calories are way up because low cal soups are out. No chicken. I'm thinking if just staying with nothing but protein shakes. I'd love to get a feeding tube installed so that I don't have to actually eat anymore.

What exactly is your sodium target? If you are not eating processed foods it shouldn't be that hard to stay within a reasonable limit. And yes, Mrs Dash works well for me :) if I even bother to use it. It seems like these chicken breasts already come pre-salted :)

Mine tends to be really low.

I eat lots of fruit, veg, whole grains, chicken, and yogurt ... not a whole lot of salt in any of those.

In fact, in the first month I was here, I was showing all the signs of having a really low blood sodium level, and had to start salting my veggies (blech) and other food. I'd rather not do that, but we do need some salt in our diets.

If you're not eating processed foods, what are you eating with salt?

Is there a medical reason to keep sodium low? I wouldn't worry about it much unless there is, or you feel much better on low sodium.

Mine is usually around 2000-3000mg per day.
