How do I set a weight target?

I have lost 65 pounds over a number of years, and am struggling to figure out what my target weight should be. My question is whether I should use the height I have been most of my life, 5'4", or my osteoporosis-caused current height of 5"2" when looking at BMI tables? (I am also starting to use % body fat as a guideline but I know I do better with a weight goal.) And it makes a big difference whether I should target 125 pounds or 134 pounds. Any thoughts on this? Thanks, SlowbutSure

I'd set the higher weight first, then get there and see how I feel. You can always adjust your goals as you go.

I have profound scoliosis of both the thoracic and lumbar spine. As a result, I'm four inches shorter than I should be (5'9" vs 6'1") so I had the same choice to make. I set my goal weight based on my lean body mass plus a target body fat percentage.

    (lean body mass) /(100 - bodyfat%) =goal
