Hello all,
My name is Jim and I am looking lose some weight. My idea is to lose some weight so that I can get to a good figure to start to gain some muscle. I am looking for help from this community on supplements (pills, powders, or liquids), meals, and workouts. I am currently looking to lose 10 pounds and I am very motivated. Is there any good meals I can eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner that can help me? What are some workouts I can do? What are good supplements to gain weight? Anything is helpful and I know a lot of you are so informational. Anything is appreciated!!!
Thanks, Jim

Welcome Jim. I suggest checking out MFP's "Hello Healthy" articles. They'll give you some good ideas as far as meal planning goes. There are some great boards here for sharing knowledge from members who are at their goal and will be glad to share their experiences. Good luck on reaching your goal!

Don't bother with supplements. There ain't no magic pill. Eat a decent diet, log everything you eat and drink, stay within the calorie limits and get in exercise.

Hello Jim! You sound very excited to transform your body. Just so you know you will be gaining weight if you are lifting weights. Start with some cardio. Running, ellipticals, swimming, cycling and jump rope for starters. You'll need the cardio in place before you want to start lifting weights in order to build lean muscle mass. Start each workout with 30 mins of cardio at a reasonably high heart rate, it will be different for everyone but you can do some research for your target heart rate. Do 12 reps of weights in the beginning. If you can't do 12 reps your lifting too much weight. Alternate upper body front, legs then a back routine. Take a day off from the weights and do it again starting the next day. This should get you started on your journey.

I'm not a physical trainer or anything and it is suggested you speak with your doctor before starting any work out routines. This is just my opinion from when I lifted weights. Adjust your MFP goals to meet you rreequirements. There's a good beginners guide in the forums and I recommend reading it to familiarize your self with the potential of MFP. I'm going to start lifting after I lose around 40 pounds. One day, one message, one meal at a time. See ya!
