I've been exercising pretty much my whole life ... and my diet didn't improve, the quantity just diminished a bit.

But as I lost weight, I found it was easier to breathe, walk up hills, cycle up hills, climb stairs ... and I started noticing all that after I had lost about 15 kg.

Better sleep. Faster hill climbs. Smaller pants. All after about 3 months.

Weight loss, improved strength and endurance, stress reduction, increased energy levels. Energy and stress levels improve immediately. The rest picks up over the next few weeks.

Before I started my weight loss journey I had so many problems. I had constant headaches, my shoulders would get this pain that felt like a constant pinched nerve, my back ached, I couldn't stand on my feet for long periods of time, and I couldn't go up stairs without being completely out of breath. I think I noticed changes when I lost about 15-20 pounds. My shoulders no longer hurt, my back no longer hurt, and I could stand on my feet for longer periods of time. When I finished losing all the weight, my headaches went away and I could run up 3 flights of stairs with no problem. That was probably the thing I was most excited about, because at school for classes in this one particular building I had to go up the 3 flights of stairs and before I lost the weight, it was SO embarrassing to be completely out of breath and then go into class huffing and puffing and heaving for air. I still remember the feeling after the first time I realized "Wow I just ran up those stairs and I am not even the SLIGHTEST out of breath". Definitely amazing.

I was in a nutrition/fitness program last year where I had to take weekly measurements and monthly photos for 1 year. I swear the inches and pics changed faster than the lbs came off (but they came off too). It was very motivational to focus on other changes vs just the scale.

Greater energy, confidence & improved mood also were wonderful benefits.

I haven't started exercising yet, but I've changed my diet quite a bit. I've noticed a big change in my digestion. I used to have stomach problems almost constantly (diarrhea, constipation, pain, nausea...) but I never connected it with my high-fat diet. Since eating more veggies and much less fried food, my tummy issues have disappeared.
I also have more energy and lost 3 pounds within the first few days. Now nearly a month later, I've lost 7 pounds and feel so much better.

Better sleep. More energy. Less pain. Noticeable weight loss. Most of it after 2-3 months.

Better sleep, more energy in the morning and in general, the big thing was just more enthusiasm to life and confidence :)
