Very new at this and not quite sure how to work the app. It recommends i eat 2,200 calories. That seems like quite a bit if i am eating healthier foods.....I'm a teacher with not alot of time to stop and eat and i would really like to meet my weight loss goals. Any help suggestions on best practices with the app would be greatly appreciated.

Well I have just started again today, along with my 2 Daughters, who are also teachers, what I have found very important doing this is try and walk for at least 20 minutes each day and don't eat the calories you burn. It is the only way I can make sure I lose weight consistently. Good luck and keep up the good work, if you have a bad day, forget about it and be good the next. As long as you are having more good days than bad it will already be going in the right direction

Hi, I'm new too, I've dabbled using mfp before but never used any of the community things.
I've been to the weight loss Dr today and he recommended joining some communities so here I am!
I'm a teacher too but being a stay at home mummy at the moment.
    Are you in the UK?
    Good luck with your journey!

-Buy and use a food scale
-Weigh everything accurately; never "guesstimate" because you will always be wrong
-If you don't eat a lot but need to meet your calorie goals, try to find calorie-dense foods including peanut butter, olive oil, etc.
-Don't give up if you go over, going over a little just means you lose a little slower, but remember - it's a long process and you can easily make up for it another day

People always forget that this is not a daily tracker so much as a trend tracker. If you go over by 500 calories one day but are under by 500 calories through the rest of the week, you are golden!

    Good luck.
