How do you reward yourself after accomplishing a goal?

Hey everyone! Unfortunately, food is my reward. If I succeed at something, I go out for dinner and eat whatever I want. This won't work now, and I was wondering if you guys could share what you do when you lose some pounds?

My reward is looking healthy and losing the weight.0

I buy myself something. My ultimate goal is a new bikini when I reach my goal weight.0

For me it's buying "new to me" clothes, I don't want to spend the money on wardrobe at this weight, but second-hand clothes that may have the original tags still on them? Sure. It's rewarding to go down in waist sizes... twice in 6 months. They only cost between $4 and $10 and I can save the difference for my real new wardrobe when I reach my goal-weight.0

I'm planning on new clothes! I will NEED new clothes, and knowing I can buy a smaller size is motivating. I know wearing them will be a great reward, too.
Other ideas: get a massage, facial or pedicure. Go do something you'd normally not spend the money on, an off-broadway show or something (or on Broadway if you live in the area!) Take a mini-vacation or day trip?0 -
omg... thanks for opening my eyes! I have been on here a little over a week and I did just that today! we worked like crazy in the yard, took down trees/shrubs and stuff and we celebrated by going to dinner. (it was a lot of work-4hrs- and the trees were eye sores! now it looks nice) but i just rewarded myself with food! *sigh. got to break this vicious cycle!!!0

Head says "just being healthy is reward enough"....my heart says best reward ever is trying on clothes that NOW DON'T FIT!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!
  Doesn't cost a cent either.....
All the very best0 -
For my smaller goals, I like to reward myself with little things: mani/pedi or even some cute accessories (necklace, earrings, etc.). My big reward for when I reach my final goal will be a pair of 7 jeans! Good luck! :flowerforyou:0

little things really stuff like a new book or dvd i want nothing really big as i already have all stuff i need but when i reach target hopefully by october (me and hubby are going away then so i really wnat to be at target) i will basically have 3 days of no diet and eat out every day italian one day chinese another indian another not a great plan as i will gain some weight back but once a year i hardly think is a major blip
if going out used to be your reward you can still do that in a few ways
exercise more in the day and not eat as much saving your calories for the evening out
choose low fat low cal options when your out
or use it as a treat for a big goal like half what you want to lose gone or even just as a reward for reaching target
as long as it isnt a weekly occurance i really doubt it will harm your dieting in the long term a night off can be great just to break the monotony of dieting Good Luck0 -
Movies, books, music, clothes, or objects of my nerdy desires (action figures, key chains, buttons, more t-shirts, etc.).0
