I just got a Fitbit for Christmas and I'm really excited about it! I just wanted to know a few things. Do I still keep my activity level on here as lightly active or do I switch to sedentary since I wear my Fitbit at work? Also while working out do I add the calories separate on here or will the Fitbit automatically do it for me? Thanks!!

Whichever level you feel more comfortable with. I set mine to lightly active because sedentary left me at 1200 calories.

Anything step-based (walking and running) your Fitbit will take care of. Other exercises you can log in either place, though Fitbit seems to give a better burn estimation.

    1) doesn't matter...synch it and enable negative adjustments ...mine is set to sedentary and I'm probably active to very active most days ...I like to earn more calories I find it an emotional boost

    2) fitbit will catch your step based activity ..if you have an HR version I think you tag it as exercise ..I'd be really careful about logging none steady state by calories from an hr monitor tbh

Thank you. Mine is just a Fitbit charge. Not a hr.

I have the charge too. I set MFP activity to sedentary and enable negative calorie adjustments. If I want to eat more than the 1200 cals it gives me, I do.
