Low Calorie alcohol??

Options
Hey, it's coming up to the end of my second year Uni exams, and next week me and my housemates have planned a couple of big nights out and house parties to celebrate. Normally I wouldn't say no to anything alcoholic, but I don't want to undo all my healthy eating!

So can anyone suggest any low/lower calorie drinks that means I don't feel (quite as) bad?

Thanks :)

Gin and diet tonic is not too bad!
Some people also suggest rum and diet coke.

I don't know if it's available where you are, but in Sydney, Australia there's Vodka Cruisers that have a sugar free range.. the lowest has 41 calories for the 275ml bottle, which is one standard drink. I had them last weekend and still managed weight loss :)
But yeah, if you have that available then I recommend it, but if not, have a look around and you may find something similar! Have fun! :)

Archers Peach schnapps is logged as 63 cals for a UK 25ml shot. I am hoping its right cos thats what I drink. I drink it with diet coke. Anyway one night wont hurt; enjoy yourself; two years in uni deserves a celebration.

Bacardi breezer half sugar range is about 100 cals a bottle. You cant drink many before feeling bloated.

Thanks. I'm in Sydney. Not a big drinker. But now I can try these. The things you learn on MFP.

Vodka lime & soda is my tipple - i think it works out about 80 calories a drink.

As previously stated, Gin and slimline tonic is only about 55 cals.
There are some nice low cal wines on the market too. Tesco do a Chardonnay which is 98 cals per glass and there is a brand called Enlighten which I've seen in a few Greene King pubs that do a red, white and rose, all about 120 cals a glass.

I bought sugar free margarita mix at BevMo. I think it was 5 cals. per serving? A shot is like 70 cals. Diet soda is 0.

Archers and diet coke? That's a new one on me! I usually have diet lemonade with it

Vodka & diet coke, Gin and slimline tonic are both fairly low calorie.

The problem with drinking alcohol is normally you will find you "forget " and eat stuff you dont really want/need.

if i know ive got a party to go to i just try to eat plenty of healthy filling foods before hand and workout extra hard to give me the extra calories.
not that good for you but once in a while wont hurt

    Hope this helps

Thanks everyone! Seems to be that clear spirits and diet mixers are the way forward...

I'm in England so I don't think we have those Vodka Cruisers, but I'm so jelous! Maybe we should petition for imports haha. I'll look out for 'Enlighten' though and am deffo getting the Tesco Chardonnay for pre-drinks!

If it was just one night I wouldn't worry too much, but we've got 4 drinking related things planned in a week. Eeek!

The Tesco one is in their "Light Choices" range. I got the little bottles, think they're something like 3 or 4 for a fiver. Don't know if they do them in 75cl bottles or not. I know Weight Watchers also do a 75cl wine but I haven't tried it yet, it's about £6 a bottle which is a bit more than I usually fork out
I usually stick to gin and slimline tonic or Blossom Hill White Zinfandel which is around 160 for a large glass. You could always add some diet lemonade to make it go further

wow thank you that's amazing! I'm going to print that out and pin it on my wall

I don't usually have a problem with food and alcohol, I've never been one for takeaways - hate the taste - and the most I'd do is have a slice of bread or handful of cereal when I get home if I really do have the munchies! Beforehand, I tend to eat a larger meal at lunchtime and a small snack for tea, so I'm not bloated when I go out. Also, if you're not full you get drunk a little bit quicker, so takes less alcohol overall!

3 or 4 for a fiver! Brilliant! Being a student, about £3/4 is the most I usually fork out for wine, I'm such a cheapskate haha! So probably wouldn't get the WeightWatchers wine either, bit pricey for me!

The Smirnoff flavoured vodka is gorgeous and only about 60 cals a shot, I tend to drink the apple or blueberry one with diet lemonade or the lime one with diet coke.
    :)
