I can lose weight, but who really cares if I can't maintain it without starving? I think my purpose in life right now it is make my body strong and that requires I learn to understand how Heavy Lifting can change it dramatically. SO the problem I'm facing is not knowing a damn thing about where to really start... so if I have find some friends as passionate about it as me, maybe I'll get a clue and learn something. So this is an open invitation to any lifters guy or girl.. let's be friends. I need a handful of like minds to guide me!

Welcome!

Feel free to add me. I restarted Stronglifts yesterday after 5 months off because of an injury. I have to start with ridiculously light weights, but it's a start.

I am doing the Starting Strength program. It's only my fourth session so far after way too long of a hiatus, but I plan on continuing to lift heavy and eventually compete in powerlifting. Also anyone else who is doing a similar program or SS can add me!

I do weight lifting. If you wanna find a good program, go to boodybuilding.com and find a program. Jeamy Easton has a good one for beginners. Every exercise is explained and you can check the video also.

Feel free to add me. I was in the same place last April as you are now, and so I hired a trainer. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm useless without guidance. :)

Lifter here too - BodyPump instructor doing Sheiko right now - also follow macros etc. Once I finish my current program I'll be doing another bulk/cut cycle. Put on 8 pounds of muscle the first time!

You can add me too. And also the stronglifts for women group is pretty active and has people on a few different programs - SL of course, starting strength, ice cream and PHUL.

Just a suggestion: my wife and I both loved new rules of lifting for women. It's an awesome guide to gradually getting stronger and learning to lift heavy. Also includes some cool advice in terms of diet and lifestyle, but it's not about starving or calorie restriction, but more about learning to put down the 3.5 pound dumbbells and aiming for the 25-45 pounders.
