Ok, so looks like I didn't lose a lb this week

but the good news is, I lost another inch in my waist. So maybe it is muscle building:) I know the scales aren't always accurate in that they can't separate what is muscle weight, fat, water etc. I am not discouraged in fact, no matter what I weigh, if I am in "shape" then I am a success. I don't know if the 110 is attainable because I had no muscle or very little back then. Edie and I build muscle every day so amen to that!!!!!!
I think it is important to measure, or as most of you know, just take into consideration how clothing starts fitting better:drinker: :drinker: :drinker: Don't depend too much on that scale, love to all and God bless your day, denise in Oregon:bigsmile: :flowerforyou:

You have been an inspiration to me today! I thank you for that! I have worked out faithfully this week and gave up sugar, except for what is in fruit. I get on that stupid scale and it says I weight more or have not lost any weight. Althought when I put my jeans on they fit better (looser) and I feel better by making better choices in my diet.:-) So on forward I go, I'm going to keep on keeping on, because I know in the end I will be better for it!

I see so many on this site who stay in perpetual discomfort by playing this silly game with exercise calories in stead of taking the time and the relatively short period of two to six weeks to stabilize there metabolisms. Three days ago Loyola University Medical school released a ten year study that pretty much proves that with out a shadow of a doubt that exercise does not in anyway contribute to weight loss.
It does a lot of wonderful things but weight loss isn't one of them!
The game you are playing is like telling an alcoholic that jf he doesn't drink any whiskey today he can have a beer at dinner. Your body never will get a chance to stabilize and really show you weight loss because of the mini binges your exercise calories represent. Whats more is that you are actually doing damage to your body by exercising without the proper nutrition or balanced metabolism it requires to gain any benefit from the exercise.
