Look at it differently, not as a diet, but as changes that you need to make to your lifestyle for the rest of your life. Dont exclude any foods you like but limit portions, stay within the allotted calorie budget - that's it!
Too restrictive caloric budget will inevitably lead to binges, and eventually will cause you to completely quit. Being constantly hungry or constantly craving things can only be tolerated for so long. You will get emotionally and physically exhausted. Eat everything you like, log it, stay within the budget. One day at a time. This is not a race.
I wish you success.0 -
I agree with everyone else. It has to just be a lifestyle change, not a diet. Don't restrict things you love - like for me, I refuse to give up pizza. A world without pizza isn't a world I want to live in! So I find ways to work it into my "calorie budget" and make healthier versions.
As far as exercise, try and find something you ENJOY doing so it doesnt seem like work. For me, running became my choice of exercise, which I never ever thought I would say. But since I enjoy it, I don't dread it. Whether its yoga, running, spinning, zumba, walking, etc..find something you LIKE to do. It doesnt have to be endless hours on an elliptical, you know? Exercise is so good for you, for your body, for your heart, for your mind - not just for weight loss0 -
Reduced calories is where it is at a 300 calorie a day reduction is 30 pounds in a year, or look at it a little different, an increase in exercise of 200 calories a day and a hundred reduction in calories is the same results. A hundred calorie a day reduction is a piece of cake (literally lol). Depends on how fast you want to loose it. I agree with the above statement exercise is also good for the mind. Good luck!0

Hey,
I find making a plan so so helpful.
Write down a bunch of healthy foods you like, and a few treats.
Make meal plans out of your healthy food, they really don't need to be complicated,
Jacket potatoes topped with tuna, or baked beans served with salad are one of my fav healthy meals.
Make sure you eat breakfast, this took me a while to get my head around, try not to skip meals, even if your not hungry try to snack on something. Fruit/salad/veg - Nuts ect ect... theres loads to choose from.
If your really picky and you dont want to change your diet that much, then just take out some of the really bad foods your eat, for example if u choose to cut out 3 things from your diet, im sure that would make an improvement,
Cut out, chocolate, fried food and fizzy drinks? But allow yourself to have crips now and again...
Moderation is key.
Good luck keep up posted! x
