Trying to get Army Strong again

I have a Planet Fitness membership, motivation, and no clue on what kond of training to be doing. In the military, it was all running, push-ups, and sit-ups. Any program suggestions (my goal is to lose 25 pounds)?

Planet Fitness has trainers. I would schedule an appointment with a trainer there and tell the trainer your concerns, ask your questions. I have found, as it seems other people that I have talked to (at least at my Planet Fitness), that you need to ask A LOT of questions. They are generally pretty good about answering questions, but not so much offering advice, if that makes sense. At least that is what some of us seem to have found at OUR Planet Fitness, anyway.
When I met with the trainer at my Planet Fitness, she worked out a 'plan' for me, it was a very generic plan and she kind of blew off a lot of questions I had (like asking to demonstrate certain machines). Looking back, I would have told her I needed more help and would appreciate more advice and I would have asked more questions or I would have flat out told her I felt my questions were not being answered, and I would have asked her if someone could answer my questions for me, as I felt I was not really being 'helped'. Yeah, guess I am not in a great mood today, I guess..but you are paying them money there and that is their job!!!
You are paying money to go there, get the most out of it that you can! Don't settle for feeling like you are being a pain or that you are clueless or anything, that is their job to HELP you!!0
