5xl > large

I've finally gotten down to a regular large in t-shirts/shirts etc, not a single X in sight! When I started back in July 2015 I honestly thought I'd give up after 3 - 4 days like I had every other time so no one is more shocked than I am that I'm nearly 90lbs down and so close to my goal weight. I always dreamed of wearing a large and being able to shop like a normal human being and I did that the other day, picked up a couple of t-shirts in a sale without anyone looking at me and thinking "there's no way he can fit in anything here". And speaking of the sale, clothes are damn cheap when you can just walk into a shop having an 80% off sale and grab whatever you like, compared to getting robbed online at a fat and tall speciality store, plus they were actually nice instead of just giant, black bedsheets.

For 2016 I need to lose a few more lbs and focus on toning up. I currently have a slipped disc which is pushing on a nerve so I'm in pain 24/7 which limits what I can do in every aspect of my life but I'm seeing a back specialist this month so fingers crossed I'll be fit and healthy sometime early 2016, then I have to work on non weight related life goals (I really let my obesity hold me back).

That's such an inspiring story and you did it so quickly. I'm hoping to be in a position where i can do the same and don't have to buy baggy clothes to hide behind.

How did you manage to lose the weight so quickly? Did you a lot exercise as well?

Good for you. Although I can't personally relate to the back pain, my husband has been through five back surgeries (two for ruptured disks, three tumors). His surgeries have all been very successful at relieving the pain and although he has arthritis in his back that flares up now and then, he is very active and pain free most days. He and I now ride recumbent trikes when the weather is nice. They are great not only on your back but also on your bottom because a regular bike can be very painful! And of course a bike is low impact on the joints so it's a fun activity. Best of luck with your slipped disk situation and just know that it will get better with the right treatment.

Not really, no. For the first few months I did exercise 5 days a week, though, but from then on I haven't really done anything other than calorie counting, I've just stuck to what MFP tells me to with only a few slip ups along the way.

    If it's NG, yes!

Back pan is the bloody worst, I can't sit or stand very long without being in pain, unless I'm laying flat I'm hurting. And yeah, there's absolutely no way I can use a regular bike with my back, but also because I suffer with coccyx pain to top it off! When my back is better I'll save a fortune on pain medication as well which will be nice.

And thank you everyone else for all your kind words :)

Nice Job!!! Good luck with the specialist - hopefully they can help you get better - back issues are no joke. I just recovered from an injury I had early last year.

Definitely, at least in my case it was very accurate. If I stuck to what it told me I lost weight, if I didn't, then I didn't. I had it set to 2lbs/week loss for as long as possible. These days with so little left to lose it's no longer accurate, I seem to gain and lose the same few lbs no matter what I eat which is frustrating. If you weigh everything and are honest with your logging you will lose weight, gl.

Congrats and good luck with the back. I deal with lower back muscle pulls semi-regularly which are painful enough. Can't imagine how much pain you must be in! Heal fully and swiftly!
