Be honest with yourself. Avoid mistakes. I've dropped 90 before. Gained back 25. Now on the path again to drop 70+.
My keys: lots of water, low sugar, no fried food, no pizza, chicken and veggies.0 -
Good luck, all! I've been on a vicious cycle of losing and gaining in the past few years. I'm recommitting myself to losing and keeping it off! I have about 70 lbs to lose as well! My downfall is excessive sugars and take out (for lunch). I've already feeling/seeing a different on the last two weeks of new habits. We can do this!!!!! Please feel free to add me!0

I just re-started on Monday. I've been on this site before but nothing serious. I have done every diet known to man. I've lost and gained so many times. I need to lose around 60-70 pounds. I have been on sites that have these discussion groups and they are very helpful.

Have a question...my calculator says I should be eating 1890 cal per day for 1 pound a week. Doesn't that sound like a lot? Maybe that the problem usually when I diet I go down to 1400 cal per day...but I want to do it slow and steady this time.0 -

Good luck, I know you can do it. Slow and steady wins the race. Don't ever stop starting again. I've found that breaking it down into smaller goals gets me motivated. 70lbs might seem overwhelming (I started at 120 to lose), but if you try for 5% of your body weight, its a smaller number to shoot for and you'll get there quicker. Celebrate by treating yourself to something fun (maybe a mani/pedi). Then make another goal, maybe another 5%. This way you get the excitement and reward of reaching goals without getting discouraged.0
