Hi all
I am getting married in July, my first dress fitting and hen do is in May. I am eating roughly 1350 calories a day, working out 3-4 times a week (doing the Charlotte Crosby dvd, it's a killer!!) how much weight am I likely to lose? I am currently 13st 10lb and 5ft7
Thanks all!

Without knowing how much you burn a day and how accurate your logging is, it's impossible to say.

The dvd says you should burn 700 calories however I have been logging as 400 in case I am missing bits or doing it wrong! I have been logging everything I eat and drink and have been as accurate as I can.

Does it matter? Your dress won't know how much you weigh. The dress size you could end up in will vary with fat distribution. It sounds like your treating this as a one time crash diet. Do you want to keep the weightloss after or is it just for pictures? Focus on a steady 1-2 pound per week that could be anywhere from 22-44 pounds healthily. Undereating and over exercising will burn you out and doesn't build healthy habits.

I didn't realise that what I am doing is unhealthy? I do want to maintain any loss after the wedding. And I'm not doing it for others just to feel more comfortable with myself

We don't know you exact tdee #s so it's not directly unhealthy. If you arent eating back any excersise calories you are eating at just below 1200 cal a day. This is the recomended minimum for women which is why MFP doesnt like to go below it. At 5'7" it's super hard to lose more than or even at 2 pounds a week which means as long as you have a balanced diet it's fine. I was mostly concerned that you went from 0 to heavy deficit plus exercise and a lot of people burn themselves out. Also as you lose weight your energy requirements will drop and the weight will be slower to come off. As long as you don't cut even more to burn faster you will be fine. Is expect you to problem drop 20 to 25 pounds if you can maintain this until July though I wouldn't order a smaller dress size planning on being smaller. It'll be easier to take in than out.

I know crash dieting is a sin on here but I got married last year, I understand needing a push towards it! At your weight you will drop a stone in a month easily with what you have described, just be prepared for it to slow down after this as your body gets sly to what you're doing but don't let that discourage you, just keep at a good number of calories, don't do a fad diet after getting desperate and try to carry on after so you stay a hot wife ;)

Thanks all for feedback! I don't want to burn out- is there anything you can reccomend? On exercising days I have just stuck to the 1350 calories, should I be changing this?

"Should I" is kind of a loaded question - it's going to be a case of what fits you. Personally, I tend to only eat back a percentage of my exercise calories (and sometimes none at all), but if you're bumping around near the minimum healthy intake it probably wouldn't hurt to eat some of it back. But if you're finding it ok at the moment, don't force yourself - again, it's what works for you.

    Okay, let's do the math.
So, you're 26 years old. A stone is 14 lbs, that's.... 192 with the remaining ten and you're 5' 7". A general ballpark guess puts your BMR (basal metabolic rate, what your body burns in a day just to keep its system running and you alive even in unconciousness) at 1645. If you're eating 1350 and doing absolutely nothing, that's a 295 calorie deficit which probably translates to a .5 lb loss per week, more or less. However, that isn't accounting for NEAT (non-exercise calories burned), the thermic effect of food or the exercise you're doing. Does this information help?

Yes that makes sense. I'm a complete newbie with this so do appreciate the help! I just don't want to put my body in an unhealthy position un knowingly.

OP here is my standard advice:
    1. Set MFP with accurate statistics (height, weight, activity level)
    2. Set a reasonable goal, in your case that is probably 1 lb/week.
    3. Let MFP calculate a daily calorie goal for you
    4. Eat a variety of foods, logging everything and ideally using a food scale to weigh your foods.
    5. Save room for treats if you want
    6. Exercise if you like, eating back about half of those calories
    7. Be patient.

You should also read the stickied "most helpful posts" threads at the top of the Getting Started and other forum sections

Good luck and congrats on the wedding!

Great, thanks for that. It sounds like I am doing too much all at once (too less calories and too much exercise) I have lost 4lbs since Friday so can't imagine I'm doing something great! MFP recommended the 1350 calories so I will stick with that but cut down on the exercise (currently 4 times a week) but eat back some calories. Is that a more healthier plan?

I don't know that you need to cut back on the exercise unless you are feeling fatigued. I would start eating back calories on the day you're exercising and maybe just varying your exercise to keep it interesting - some days cardio some days strength training- the lifting will likely help you achieve body composition goals that will make you look awesome in your dress!

I think you're on the right track, 4 lbs in a week is likely some initial water weight and will probably slow down anyway.
