ED nurse run, run, run, few breaks, lunch-haha, I know not healthy grab a twisler or pizza, last years resolution bring healthy finger food, eat a desk if needed (putting my health before rules) Always have water at hand. Would love support, this is harder than nursing school. thirty pounds to lose at this point seems like 300.
AMEN sister!

Hey! A young doctor here! I am starting my first job in radiotherapy. I became overweight and then even obese in the last two years including pregnancy and spending most of my time at home studying and taking care of the baby.
I started with a goal of losing 30 kg, now they are down to 19. Please add me, feel free to send messages, I'll be happy to have you as pals.0 -
Would love such a group! LPN for 11 years, and really need to lose weight and get healthy again...0

RN for almost 33 years..... Never obese but overweight at times. The extra pounds were hard on my not so perfect knees, some foot issues popped up, more lower back pain. Lost weight with MFP, actually more than initially planned. I'm back to the weight in my avatar but have to start exercising a bit more. Knees and back are so much better. Hope to start running 5k a couple of times a week again but also need a little yoga again. I just have to get over myself and get back into better habits!! One thing I know though - I have to continue to step on a scale every week and not let myself go back to the way I ate before....0

Yes, so much easier to stay the course then to keep losing the same weight over and over0

Please add me any nurses! I am night shift and it is so hard to not give in to junk and feel awake enough during the day to exercise!! In trying to lose 15-20 lbs for my June wedding0

Former nursing student, if that counts. I could definitely sympathize with the stress of the medical industry, especially the hospital; since I've left, I've lost 15 lbs!0

Hi friends & Peers. I've created a group on MFP before so decided to jump in & make one for all of us since the interest looks pretty strong.
It's called Heal Thyself! Health Care Professionals Here's the link http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/111029-heal-thyself-health-care-professionals
Please check it out, join, continue the conversation. It's a public group so anyone interested can join and start a topic, dialogue or reach out for support. (Note: If I can figure out how to invite people here I will to make it even easier.)0 -

Id like to get in on this I'm a pre med student0

So who notices that when they feel good about how they are eating and exercising, that it is so much easier to give advice and support others? Sometimes I don't feel very authentic when I am unhappy with my choices. Today was a good day. Ate clean, went to the gym and gave some good cooking tips at work.0

Hang in there. It is not easy to be pre med. get used to taking good care of yourself now0 -
First year nursing student, previously a GP healthcare assistant where a big part of my job was running NHS health checks. I don't look overweight as I am tall and muscular but felt incredibly guilty giving lifestyle advice with a BMI in the high twenties.0

Please feel free to add. Have been a nurse for 17 1/2 years. Have always struggled with my weight with gains and losing. Decided a year ago to take back my life and become healthier. Have lost 52 pounds so far, would like to lose 20 more to be at my ideal weight. Could use the motivation and support.0

I have been a night shift nurse in pediatric cardiac ICU for 19 years. Switching back and forth and sleep habits are my enemy. Best thing I do is pack my food for the night. Healthy snack and "lunch" and that is it. No pot luck meals. No cafeteria meals. No ordering out. Period. Pre-logging keeps me accountable. I am down 19 pounds with maybe 5 more to go. I feel so much better! I can work circles around those 20-somethings
I see all of the nurses walking into work and so many are overweight. It makes me sad we take care of others before ourselves.0 -
Not a nurse, just office staff for a group of surgeons. But I would love to support anyone in the medical field!0

Phlebotomist/lab assistant here from Washington state. I work in the lab at a small rural hospital and specialty clinic up here. My prior occupation was working in one of our many sawmills up here and I never had any problems keeping my weight in check, but since I injured my back and went back to school to learn phlebotomy...I have packed on 100+ pounds. I have lost 68 of it so far with another 50 to go, but I seem to have lost the initial enthusiasm I had when I first started. Could use some encouragement and support. So add me if you would like an accountability buddy.0
