I think I need someone to kick my butt and help keep me accountable for what I eat and to keep me on track with working out.

You need to kick your own butt and keep yourself accountable. What if this person you need disappears, what will you do? Motivation comes from within.

    You can do this :)

Some things that were helpful for me and may be helpful for you...
    1. If you love certain "bad" food, don't completely cut it from your diet--have cheat days every couple weeks or simply eat the food in moderation. Cutting it completely will only make you more likely to crash and binge.
    2. Amendment to the above: I only highly recommend cutting fast food and soda. I lost 20 lbs cutting soda alone, and if you stop eating fast food for long enough, eating it will make you feel sick so you won't even want to.
    3. Participate in the community here--there will always be people who are where you are or who've been there, and you can support each other or get advice from veterans.
    4. Make short term goals, not just a long term goal--little benchmarks you can work harder towards in the meantime. Your long term goal can feel so distant it seems impossible sometimes.
    5. Try to keep gym clothes in your car always--you won't have an excuse not to stop at the gym if you're in the area and have time.
    6. Work out in the morning! After a long day at work or school, we're all exhausted. When I worked out before classes/work, then got all cleaned up, I felt so much more energized and it was out of the way.

These work for me, but amend and add as you see fit!
