we all lose motivation at some point. the hardest part is getting back in there. i actually LOVE to eat healthy...but sometimes its easier not to. and i enjoy working out, its getting there that stops me. you arent alone...just remember to push yourself!

change it up...find a new dvd or class or workout plan....our bodies get used to the same old thing and then our minds get bored too.....maybe volleyball or a game of tag with your kids (if you have them) or running sprints in the park with your dog (if you have one)....try to make exercise fun and a regular part of your day so it doesnt get boring...i'm sure you'll be back to your old workout loving self in no time....and if not, push thru it...it is a slippery slope when you take a few days off....sometimes harder to get back into it than if you just pushed thru the boredom in the first place....good luck....
  • Maybe finding something different and fun to do that doesn't feel like a workout - such as dancing, going for a wilderness walk. Standing while working... there are many ways to use calories without "working out"

    Good luck!

We all go through that sometimes. Just do your best.

And this might help with a good laugh about it at least:

Yeah, I had that problem for the past 3 or 4 years and couldn't get off my butt until now. I love the gym as do you. The problem I have had was finding consistent EXCUSES as to why I couldn't go to the gym. I have to pick up the kids, do some laundry, clean the garage, go to work...my list has been endless. But I have come to recognize them as simple excuses. No, actually I have always known they are excuses, but I just decided to stop letting them encroach on my resolve to get back in the gym. Good luck! NO EXCUSES!!!

The best motivation is to get yourself to go back just once.

Once you fall off the wagon it is tough to get back on. It takes once or twice of forcing yourself to go and generally your brain and body will begin to crave it again.

Try doing something different, maybe something not really like exercising.
I was getting tired of getting up early and doing my DVD's or walking around the neighborhood over and over...so we took our bikes over to a local greenway and road for 11 miles. It was so invigorating and fun! Made me remember that exercise doesn't have to be chore...make it fun!
  • Thanks EVERYONE for your support! =D I never give up I just can't wait for this little cloud thats hanging over me to go away :)

I agree about changing it up. My husband had to use the bike a couple of weeks ago, to try and use less gas. We had not used them in over a year,
when he aired the tires it forced us both to take the bikes for ride. And it was awesome. Sometimes u have to just put yourself in a new place to awak something in you.
Usually I am at home with the kids and they keep me so busy that when they r both sleeping I have to choose between taking a break or working out,
I do not feel like working out cause I feel entitled to a breadk, but then I realize that is the only time I have to actually do something good just for me.
good luck finding new motivation. Its within you,
