Recently started improving diet with exercise looking for support

Options
I have started within the last 3 weeks, I began at 215 and am now down to 207. Using MFP has been helped me monitor what and how much I need to be eating. The diet combined with consistent exercise is helping so I am looking for those that will be a source of support and motivation.

You will hit stumbling blocks but remember there is more to weight loss than the number on the scale. So not get down on yourself, look at other aspects how are your clothes fitting? How are you feeling being down 16 lbs? Weighing yourself is good but do not worry too much if the scale does not move.

Yeah good advice, the clothes are fitting so much better now and it feels like I have developed good habits that will stick. Your right I do not need to focus on scale alone. I probably need to do my research on a workout that can change things up to keep it fresh.

I use stronglifts 5x5 it is a good starting program. You do 3 lifts each time you goto the gym, you do squats each time and then the other lifts rotate, but you do 5 sets of 5 reps. Each day you increase the weight you lift. I know a few people who have had really good results from the program.

Great program but form is critical for these exercises ESPECIALLY when the loads get heavy! Seek certified help or you can do all sorts of damage. Good luck
