I find it very hard to stay motivated with exercises and diets. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Look up blogilates if you are into pilates/bodyweight workouts. Cassey Ho (the woman who runs it) does monthly calendars and challenges to keep it interesting. Most of her videos are on youtube too so if you just wanted to make your own workouts instead of following her calendars you can do that too. I've been pairing her beginner's calendar (I'm new to pilates) with 3 days of cardio at the gym and have felt great. I know her monthly calendars are an hour long each day but the beginner calendar is about 30 mins each day to help build you up to doing an hour a day.

Try to find something you like to do. Moving more will help you during a diet and after. People who move more use more calories.

I like Walk At Home DVDs - google Leslie Sansone & you can find free sample videos on YouTube. These are low impact aerobics without choreography. I like not having to learn steps.

You Tube is great for test driving lots of different things. BeFit, Fitness Blender, Jessica Smith TV....are some of the channels.

Ideally you want some cardio and some resistance training. Work your heart, increase endurance and maintain lean muscle while losing weight.

You need a strong "why" to care about this stuff, and then you'll figure out the details of implementation.
