I'm in that small percent that needs to gain weight. I'm 5'10" male and weigh roughly 129lbs who has been told that I am underweight. I started this so that I could see the recommended calories I'm suppose to eat in order to do this. I have also been told that I could just have a really high metabolism and that would account for the fact that I can't seem to gain anything. I want to be healthy for my kids and live longer. Anyways is there some kind of badge or ticker on this site that will count how many pounds I gain instead of lose? I want to be able to keep up with it. Any other advice would be awesome to. Thanks

Gaining weight for those who are severely underweight is as hard as losing weight. I feel for you. I have a male friend that tries everything to gain. He struggles all the time. He does drink a protein shake with every meal. They are expensive, but it might help. Also, I know it sounds macho, but lifting weight instead of cardio might help as well. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.

Well I just found out that eating healthy makes me lose weight rather than gaining. lol I don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe take-out every day.

Lifting weights should be put some weight on you. If you are eating a healthy diet and building muscle then you'll get to what is a healthy weight for you. That might just be less than others. Some people are just naturally thin and wirey. But if you want to be healthy for your kids you can't do that by eating take out every day.
