Hello, everyone!
My name's Gabrielle.
I recently got into trying to live a healthier lifestyle about a year ago.
I'm currently a biology student studying for the MCAT in hopes of getting into med school one day.
I notice that a lot of students my age tend to eat a lot of junk foods and don't think exercise and a healthy diet is their priority.
I used to be just the same, but then I met a cute guy and I started to want to look better.
The cute guy seemed fit and seemed to like outdoor activities such as hiking, and I felt like I needed to be fit enough to be good enough for him lol.
But most importantly, I knew I had such a bad perception of myself and how I look, so I thought it'd be best to go through a fitness journey so that I could learn to love myself and learn to listen to my body.
Although looking good was my first goal, as I went through my fitness journey, I realized that there was a bigger underlying goal that I needed to focus on. And that was to do everything for the betterment of my health.
I used to have hyperthyroidism, and I spent about 1.5 months going to a clinic to get IV shots to help with my condition.
I'm all better now, but I know that I need to work hard in order to keep my own body healthy.
I hope I didn't bore some of you with my random rambling!
I hope to get to know a few people here and gain some motivation and inspiration through this forum.
Here's my blog for my fitness journey in case anybody's interested: igabifit.blogspot.com
Nice to meet you all!
