Need all the help I can get to loose 100lbs.

My name is Cameron. I am a university student and I currently weigh ~315lbs. I am looking to drop to 220lbs. I figured I should do this thing right and get a community that can help and encourage and that I might one day be able to do the same for. I already have several people who are physically doing this journey with me but I think the more the merrier.

Looking forward to hear from you great people!

That's a great goal! What is your plan to achieve this goal?

    Good luck!

As of 2 weeks ago I started working out 6 days a week for an hour or more each time. Start out each workout with 10m LISS Cardio, 5m HIIT Cardio, 5m LISS. Then I work a target muscle group for ~10m, 5m HIIT Cardio, another muscle group for ~10m and then 10m of core exercises.
Outside of my workouts I am actually tracking what I eat and ensuring that it stays around 1,500 cal a day.

Any suggestions to improve are welcome.

You can do it, one day, one pound, one step at a time. Check out this forum here:

Great job making the choice towards a healthier lifestyle. I would suggest checking out another more specific group on MFP, http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/3322-100-pounds-with-no-surgery

They are an Awetastic group of folks who are in or have been in the same boat, yes the struggle is real but it is a whole lot easier if you have friends to listen, learn from, celebrate with/for and "lean" on when needed!

One this that totally clicked with me 6 months ago was taking a more scientific, fact based approach to losing weight...CICO calories in, calories, plus 0 drama with myself.

I would suggest re-visiting your daily calories as they are quite low for your current weight and activity level mentioned. Yes if you continue at this rate you will see loss, but it will be sacrificing muscle since you are most likely below your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) plus will be difficult to sustain until you reach 100 lbs goal.

Here are two sites that will give you more insight to your TDEE along with options for weight loss % (10, 15, 20):
