Misfit shine question

Can anyone explain how to get my shine to work with the myfitnesspal app? I tried to connect via the settings in the app but it dumps me to the misfit site and then I can do nothing else. Thanks for any help.

    Go to your misfit app on your phone. Click profile tab, and click 3 dots right above it. Click on apps, myfitnesspal, click the connect button. It took me hours to figure this out! lol

    I had to un-sync mine, I screwed up my phone. I rarely use my shine anymore because it doesn't collect accurate info, the little disc falls out and is just a general PITA. The only reason I bought it was to track my swimming and it doesn't do that correctly. I wish I'd saved the money and frustration and never bought it.
