So I'm trying this whole calorie counting thing and need some help with low calorie snacks and recipes!! I work at a daycare where I'm stuck inside majority of the day and have another job as well so I need some low cal snacks and quick easy recipes for lunch and dinner!!! Any suggestions would be so helpful!! Thanks in advance!!!

I do salads or wraps or sandwiches for lunch most days. Sometimes soup, sometimes leftovers. Sargento has Balanced Breaks and there's Luncahbles P3s that are decent snacks. Apples and strong cheese, crunchy veggies and yogurt are good, too.

Some of my go-to snacks are: string cheese, nuts, hard boiled eggs, hummus & veggies, protein bars, Greek yogurt, beef or turkey jerky, popcorn, apples & peanut butter, cottage cheese
  • I'm having the same problem and I get sick of eating the same things over :(
I've been having a tuna wrap for lunch with a low cal/carb wrap and 1/2 tbs mixed in the tuna with relish.

Eggs for breakfast usually, either scrambled or an omlette with onions pepper tomato and spinache. That could work for lunch or dinner as well!

Chicken stir fry for lunch or dinner
    Or a giant salad lol

    Some of my favorites snacks:
    cottage cheese
    hard boiled egg
fruit - usually clementines or apple
    100 calories of nuts
    Mary's crackers
    Hummus and veggies
    Tuna on cucumber wheels
    Kind bar
    Avocado toast

For my meals I get a lot of inspiration from the Skinnytaste website. I really enjoy her enchiladas and soups. Many of her recipes are freezer friendly so you can have it for lunch or dinner a few days, and freeze the rest. Once of my recent favorites - her BBQ Chicken Chili. I made it without the beans and cut the recipe in half. Delish!

In a pinch, I often make scrambled eggs with sauteed veggies and a slice of toast. Or, even easier - a packet of plain oatmeal or cream of wheat with berries and hemp hearts.

    Hope this helps.

Hummus is basically mashed up chick peas with spices in it. I've seen a ton of different flavors, I would just pick one that sounds the tastiest to you. I am a fan of garlic hummus, but then again, I am a fan of garlic anything.

If you have time, you can roast chickpeas and season them. I made spicy and ranch flavored. It's got a crunch and tasty.

You can also meal prep. Make a bunch of meals for the week, so that when you get home, you can just pop it in the microwave. Saves a ton of time.
