How often should I have a dessert to complete my extra cals

Options
Often I have extra calories uneaten at the end of theday, so would it be harmful to my weight loss to get a 150 cal McDonald's ice cream cone often? How often should get a dessert vs. eat the extra calories in healthful foods?

I have been eating a weight watchers ice cream bar sometimes when I have extra calories left- I tell myself it's a treat for eating so well all day. :). I've lost 27 lbs so far and it doesn't seem to be harmful. I do try not to eat it after 8 or 9 pm though.

I always try to have extra calories to have a "treat" after dinner. Whether it be ice cream or cookies..etc

I do the same. I usually have oatmeal for breakfast, and then a yogurt a bit later on. But I log what I know I'm going to want for dinner and throw in a dessert of some sort. Lunch is what I have left for calories. I do the cooking and have various sized people living with me (my son being tall and thin, my daughter being medium height and build) so dinner is the main meal of the day for us and those cals can add up.

But I almost always have calories left over. :)

I have either a 110 calorie Nestle Drumstick or a 120 Breyer's Ice Cream bar every night. It helps me stay on track and not binge. I always save calories for it, or work out extra to fit it in =D

When I have extra calories, I usually treat myself to a melon ice bar. It's only 150 calories and satisfies my sweet tooth. It hasn't hindered my weight loss in any way.

I always try to have close to my calorie goal each night so if I have the calories available, I have a treat.
