What is working great for me

This is the first time I have ever lost this much weight so quickly and I just wanted to share incase it could help someone else. First, I'm not hungry and I'm actually enjoy what I'm eating. Tomorrow will be one week since I changed my eating habits. I have been losing over a pound each day, if I lose 1.4 lbs at my weigh in tomorrow I will have lost 10 lbs. The key for me has been finding healthy lower carb foods that I love, lean proteins, veggies, berries, and water. I haven't given up my Coke Zero, but I have given up all breads, potaotes, and pastas. My goal is 1200 calories and I usually go over up to 1400 but no more. I eat 4 cups of salad everyday, 1 cup of lowfat cottage cheese, 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites. The rest varies but is fruits and vegetables. The reason I'm sharing this is because I've seen people lose quickly and they never seem to want to share their formula. I hope this can help someone who is looking for tips. I would like to add that I'm not one of those people that only has 20lbs to lose, I have a ways to go. The heavier you are the quicker it comes off.

My go to foods are/were hard boiled eggs, avocados (later in my journey), and steel cut oats. I gave up white food like potatoes, rice and breads and other baked goods. And the only sweets I took were fruit. Lots of vegetables of every kind. Lean meats as you are.... Take care with the Coke Zero. It messes with your metabolism....

I believe what you say about Coke Zero. I never had a weight problem until I started drinking diet sodas. I believe Diet Coke made me hungrier, switched to Coke Zero and it doesn't seem to be the same. I just have to get to where I don't "need" it and drink every now and then. Trying oats next week and avocados, thanks for recommending0

Sounds like you are doing great, but while you can see big numbers like that the first couple of weeks when you start off larger, much of it is water and it will level out soon enough. But that's OK- it's supposed to. Just keep your diet sustainable and be patient0

You lost weight because of a calorie deficit
There's no secret formula. Just eat less then you burn and you'll lose weight.
Low carb, paleo and any other way of eating doesn't alone cause weight loss. A calorie deficit is needed.
Congratulations on your loss so far ! Don't get discouraged if you don't always lose so quickly. Most lose a lot of water weight at first and they assume its fat loss. Also as you get closer to goal, your deficit shrinks so weight loss is no longer so rapid .0
