The Power of Annoying (The Vent)

Okay.
I get annoyed among other human beings that I have to share this world with. It's normal I suppose, we all get annoyed & think to ourselves, "Huh?! Are you kidding me?!".
Sometimes it's people being rude at the grocery store, holding up the line because they are mad at their receipt not being correct, making a HUGE fuss about it so EVERYONE can hear it. Then to come to realization they were wrong & couldn't read the receipts correctly themselves.
Sometimes it's drivers that need to play road wars (ever see two people get mad at one another on the road thus they yell out the window at each other like maniacs and drive like ---holes?. Give. Me. A. Break). Sometimes it's someone sweating all over the gym equipment & not wiping it down. Sometimes it's parents not watching their children in stores, letting them throw product all over the place, "Tee hee they're just kids".
Today MFP annoyed me. It's not MFP in general, I HEART MFP, it's just some of the people on here. I'm not pointing at newbies, those who need actual advice & help on educating themselves on what is best for them.
My Example of Annoying:
Ummmm if crackers were eaten all day or candy was eaten all day or carrot sticks were chewed on all day or bread with peanut butter was eaten all day & lack of exercise was an input among the lifestyle change.... I will not comment "woo hoo" for that person who will most likely proceed to chew on things while starving one self and playing farmville on Facebook all day long at the same time. Nor am I going to start typing all this nicey nice, "Oh were you sick that day" "My advice is...", like everyone else when I am able to see this persons either: has a diary date back to who knows how long OR they write on forums very educational advice OR try to encourage people to eat correctly OR all of the above.
......
I'm not an enabler. Stupid isn't cute, ignorance isn't bliss (best line someone could have ever told me). I really do try my hardest to see the best in everyone.... even though right about now I probably look like the most evil woman on the forum at this time. I am just unable to comprehend how someone can hate themselves so much that they don't make the proper healthy changes in their life that they so wanted.
I thought it was You perceive yourself as who You want to be.
Maybe if self pity, trying to be someone else, the diet coke and cracker diet was out of the way that person could have been someone.... a lot less annoying.
Well thanks for reading my vent session. It helped me become less annoyed, now I will continue my morning with sunshine and daisies. ::shrugs::

I don't know the user you are describing but my own philosophy is that unless they are ASKING for guidance/help/criticism I keep my distance. To me, having an open diary just isn't the same thing. I use the 'if you can't say something nice" rule a lot on here.
Not that I'm dissing your rant but I'd say that most of us are guilty of not making healthy choices/changes at some point in our lives otherwise we wouldn't be here. MFP is a tool, not a magic wand. Let's face it; if this was easy we'd all be thin already and the weight-loss industry wouldn't rake in millions each year. Sometimes there are issues (emotional, financial, personal, etc.) that prevent us from making the "best" choices.0 -

^^ I agree with this0 -
justsummie and for those misunderstanding the vent:
All I was doing is venting my frustrations, not trying to start on a psychological debate on who/what/why are the reasons for people to do what they do. I would have published a book on an educational and more compassionate view point of my opinion of the world, then had someone critique it if that were the case. No one needs to agree nor disagree with me.
Side Note: The reasoning behind quoting a paragraph I wrote to follow up with simplistic facts, I'm not quite following. At the time, I was not going to write every single fact of, "I do understand there are other circumstances preventing people to do so because of".
I was just giving free expression of one's strong emotion. That is why it is called a vent.
I am sorry to have offended any of you, this was solely for people who can relate to me because they can see my view at the moment in time. Next time when I post, I promise to be not only more descriptive, but more compassionate since there are many people here that really do have many issues who need help.
For those who want a pity part though and refuse to make changes because you are too stubborn, I hope this is a swift kick in the butt for you.0 -
LOL.....I'll make this brief since my quotations and "simplistic facts" obviously rub you the wrong way.
Venting is fine and you are just as entitled to your opinion as everyone else. But when you throw around such harsh statements as "Stupid isn't cute", accuse people of "hating themselves", and make some obscure reference as to how people must be spending their days playing Farmville just because their diaries aren't great on a PUBLIC forum- you should expect to get some response.
To be honest it irks me when people take it upon themselves to dish out their own version of tough-love to people who are aren't asking for their help.0 -

Dear OP,
MFP is a public site and this is a public forum, therefore your rant doesn't need to be agreed or disagreed upon, but will, you posted it publicly. This is not your diary, your notebook, a piece of scratch paper, or your personal blog or wall. People will come to read your rant, and whether they agree or disagree with your opinion, will post and tell you why. Now, you didn't say anything to those that agreed with you, only to the people that disagreed with your opinion. Does that make you the almighty, the top and only opinion giver, the truth if you will. Being a free and public site, people can use this for whatever they want.
Yet you attack people for being ignorant and stupid. Not cool. Maybe those people eating crackers and carrots all day don't know what nutrition is or how to eat properly, and are hoping someone will reach out to them, as long as they don't reach out to you, they should be fine. This site is here for the people who need help, who want help and support. You are obviously not supportive, by just your lil "Rant" I can tell this. And if this IRKS you, don't respond, don't friend them, and don't comment, all choices you can make.
Also, for future reference, just because someone disagrees with you, doesn't make them less educated, less compasionate, or less able to post their opinions. Don't attack others because you are not happy, that makes nobody's day better. Enjoy your misery alone. With departing I will leave you with one quote, "Opinions are like *kitten*, everybody's got one."
P.S. I am not attacking you, just pointing out some flaws in previous statements, good luck in your journey to where ever it is your destination lies.0
