Shoe size getting smaller?

i have a pair of slip on summer shoes, I think I have had them for 3 years now. I slipped them on to run out and get the mail. I found my self this time needing my toes to hold tight on to the strap between my first two toes because my saddles seamed very loose and were acting as if they would slide right off while going up the steps.
I am down 72 pounds, going for 30 more. All I could think is maybe my loss has something to do with it. Any one else have this happen ?

I had work shoes from last year that now seem almost two sizes too big. I hear a lot that when you lose weight, you can lose a shoe size. It's crazy and I definately wasn't expecting something like that to happen!

I've heard of women gaining a shoe size or two during pregnancy. I guess this could be the same principle?

Selfishly I kinda hope I don't lose a shoe size when I reach my goal weight. I'm a size 6 and anything smaller is really hard to find in shoe stores.

I have lost almost 70 lbs. and have 40 more to lose... I've gone from an 11 to a 10 very recently... it's weird, no?!! The weirdest part is that even when I was this thin before I was still a size 11... now, I'm just shrinking, I guess! LOL This is good news for me because a lot of shoemakers won't make size 11 or they're very hard to find. :)

First time I lost 100lvs I found out my feet are actually the length of an 8/8.5 but I had been wearing 10s my entire adult life. Just for the width needed. Luckily when I gained half back my feet didn't change much. I expect as I get to a healthy range I may see them even smaller, by sister is my height (healthy weight) and a solid 7 in shoes but who knows!
