Cheat meal.

Been going good for two weeks, even giving myself a "free day", but yesterday and today I'm just craving a fast food meal. I'm thinking about just saying "fudge it" to get it out of my head for lunch and back on track for dinner. #venting

    Me too, but I'm trying to stay focused. I made a pot of soup sunday for my lunch for the week. I packed 4 servings and stored it in the fridge. This is the first time I've done this and I was just thinking how good it has been and easy and convenient. Plus it keeps me from going off the deep end and running to Wendys.

    It kind of sounds like you feel you've earned a cheat for being good...be careful about this line of thinking. You can have fast food while staying on target if you plan correctly.

    Instead of saying "fudge it", look online and see how many calories are in the meal you want. You might be able to tweak it slightly and be absolutely fine, calorie-wise. Every once in awhile I want something from McDonald's and a quarter pounder w/out cheese (440 cal) plus a small fry (230 cal) aren't so crazy that I can't fit them into my day.

    All good points, the meals been eaten and the hardest part was the "logging" in. I really don't feel like I "deserved it" but it sure did erase the urge. Hopefully just a speed bump back on track tonight, cause like I said I have been doing well(on the scale) and I know if I want that to continue I can't do this all the time.

    Remember portion control, not limiting completely. Like others have said, if you plan accordingly you should be able to afford some not so healthy options.

    Look the food up, plan what you'd really like to have, and make it fit. Saying "fudge it" and not logging or going crazy is the opposite of what you've been building for the past two weeks. Don't let a treat derail you. Wait for a day when you can make what you'd like to eat fit into your calorie goals.

    I've been incorporating weekly cheat days for 8 weeks now. The thing that helps me is to keep a list of cravings on my phone. I find it crazy how much my cravings can fluctuate, day by day. I'd suggest not using cheat days as a reward (or the only reward). Currently, I use dietbet.com, a social betting application to reward monthly weight achievements.

    I eat fast food atleast once a week (one cheat meal a week). I just make sure I work out extra and can afford to eat the extra calories so im still at a deficit for the day. Also I get something lower in calories like a whopper jr from BK instead of the actual whopper. Don't add mayo or cheese and it's not bad at all. If I don't eat what I crave, I'll end up binge eating! Plan your meals ahead& don't wait until your hungry/starving. That's when you'll probably make bad decisions lol .. don't give up and goodluck to you :)
