    That's an awfully vague question

If the question is what I think it is then the answer would be excess carbs don't make you fat excess calories do. SO if you can eat those carbs and stay within your calorie goal then eat them if thats what you want

Just make sure you get enough fats/protein/fibre to keep yourself feeling satisfied

Past 6 months I have lost 35 lbs. Know I have been in foot casts and bed since August. Trying to keep weight off, but fat seems to just grow

If you are not able to move around much then eating less carbs won't make any difference to weight gain, eating fewer calories will

Eat 125 grams less carbs and you eat 500 less calories. The two are not mutually exclusive !

But that's true for any macro. Eat 125g less protein and you eat 500 less calories. Eat 40g less carbs, 40g less protein and 20g less fat and you eat 500 less calories.

Indeed it is, but the OP's question was specific.

Actually, OP's question was vague to the point of incomprehensibility.

Depends what program your on. In my opinion calories trump everything. If you're on Keto then carbs are most important with calories being a very close second. I'm on Keto and I prefer to go slightly above calories than carbs. If you're restricting from being active I recommend Keto.
Long story short - stay under your calories no matter what.

Nicely misinterpreted, albeit probably deliberately so. And as has been said the question is pretty vague so your answer must be based purely on your interpretation of what it meant

Thank you all, this helps me. I guess once I get moving around again I should reduce the flapping. Thank you again

OP for the more pedantic members on here, those that take single posts in isolation and just to clarify something I am sure you got anyway

If you reduce carbs without lowering your calorie intake it probably won't result in weight loss, however if you lower your calorie goal, whether by reducing carbs or another macro then provided you are in deficit then you should lose
