Recovering from Broken Foot and Some Weight Gain

Hello! I lost 60 lbs over the last two years with MFP and changing my lifestyle. In August of 2015 I broke my 5th metatarsal and all my weight loss came to a screeching halt. I needed to lose about 20 more lbs but unfortunately I've gained almost 10 back over the last 5 months
I'm trying to not beat myself up but it's hard. My fracture is not healing and I was non-weight bearing for 4 1/2 months. I'm still in a walking boot but I'm allowed to walk on the boot now and have headed back to the gym.
My question is ---- How in the heck can I get back on track? Anyone recover from an injury like that and returned to the gym eventually?? I was working out 6 times a week and doing Stronglifts. I'm so upset that I've lost all I worked so hard for

Sorry you have injured yourself and it is slow to heal, I haven't had this particular injury so I can't address that directly but I have hurt myself in other ways.
Weight loss really does come down CI-CO and having a deficit that you can sustain for life, exercise is not essential for weight loss, so I would suggest that you re-visit your stats on MFP and re-enter your weight and how much you wish to lose per week and start from there.
Seeing that you are in the sad place of this fracture not healing properly don't be too aggressive with how much you wish to lose each week, it sounds as though your body still isn't done healing and this can take a toll.
Injuries and ste-backs such as this can be terribly demoralizing and your sadness is only natural, I broke my back 18 months ago and that set me back on my heals for a long time and chronic illness has made me change everything about how I incorporate movement into day.
Honour your feelings and then my advice is look for other forms of exercise that you can do and enjoy, work around your injury. There are so many options out there which don't involve making your issues worse....you just have to find them.
All the best and I hope my reply has helped you at least a little.0
