Just needing a little bit of motivation to get started.

Anyone who has started a diet or workout regime has probably found it helpful to have someone motivate them. I am looking for that. Like I really am excited about it but no motivation to actually get out and walk...

Getting started can be the hardest part. Once you get going and actually see results from it that can be the greatest motivation of all.

    Watch any Kai Green documentary.

Or just type motivation into YouTube.

If those two don't pump you up enough, nothing will.

Take a walk to your local nursing home or cardiac care unit. That should motivate you to get moving.

I work at a nursing home. I see the effects and all that. I'm just saying that after walking all day at work I come home and my knees ache, my feet hurt and my back hurts. Once I sit I don't want to get back up.

It WILL get easier! Each pound you lose will relieve your weight bearing joints of FOUR pounds of pressure!! Imagine, losing just 10 pounds means FORTY POUNDS of pressure off your knees, back, ankles... keep on going!!

Maybe you should try a different type of movement... Biking, swimming. Your feet rest and you move. I get it... I work on concrete floors all day!!

By the way, to put that (above info) into perspective for my own weight loss journey- I lost 275 pounds (410 lbs. to 135 lbs.) which is like relieving MY weight bearing joints of 1,1000 POUNDS of pressure!!! I honestly feel 'light as a feather' moving around these days!! Lol! Keep working at this, I promise- it DOES pay you back in greater rewards than you will ever realize!! sh8ikgxwb8al.jpeg

I agree try something besides walking to give your body a change. Have you ever looked into different shoes? I used to not be able to walk more than 1/4 mile without excruciating foot, knee, & hip pain. Now I walk 4-5 miles per day with no pain at all. 125 lbs less & much improved strength & endurance. You will get there.
