Depends on the context in which it was said.

Depends on whether the thing you are describing has a "positive" or "negative" connotation.

Normal blood pressure is AWESOME, normal blood sugar another awesome. Normal in relation to either crazy or boring? I'd say normal is normally pretty good

That doesn't seem like the normal way to get something defined ...

"Normal" is a neutral word. The context is the only thing that matters.

neither! normal just means that something is similar to how it is for the majority of people. there's a more technical, statistical-oriented explanation, but its not even necessary to understand what the word means. "normal" is usual and "abnormal" is unusual. that is all.

Not sure, but I have it on good authority that it's fun.

upon attractiveness: negative; people generally would aspire for superior rather than "normal" attractiveness
upon health: positive; having unusual or "interesting" LDL levels is not something I want to hear at Doc's office.
    for the athlete:negative
    upon character: either
learn to find the extraordinary in the ordinary....
so "it depends" on context- as HG93022 commented. WHY deliberately leave out context?

The game just shows Scorpion going to a cubicle job, stuck in traffic, cleaning gutters, etc. for 50 years before dying of a heart attack.

I smiled at first when I read it. Then I read it aloud and laughed after.

Normal is boring. Unless you are talking about the results of a pap smear. In which case, normal is great.

Never been called 'normal', so I wouldn't know.

It's neither here nor there, but sometimes it's everywhere.
