Anyone else - lose weight, gain a sweet tooth?

This is so silly, and I can't find anything about it online, but I'm just curious if this has happened to anyone else:

I've never craved sweets in my life, always salt. I used to not eat the cake at my own birthday parties, always wanted more greens and veggies, etc. I still love greens and veggies, but recently since losing some weight and even with keeping treats in my daily diet, I have an insatiable sweet tooth! When I mentioned this to my mother, she told me my father experienced the same thing whenever he lost weight. He and I are very similar in terms of our tastes (he also isn't a huge sweets person), so I thought that was interesting that we both have individually experienced this.

I am able to manage it — most of the time!! — but I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this, or felt anything like this. Stories, personal experiences, and such all welcome!!!

Happened to me. Always would pick cheese over chocolate then when I lost some weight cookies and chocolate sounded amazing. Maybe because I cut down on pop so my body was looking for ways to replace the sugar I was not getting from the pop.

Oddly enough, before I lost weight and back when I was first using insulin, is when I developed a sweet tooth. All my life I had been a carboholic. But once I began using insulin? Well, I became the chocolate queen! Now I am completely off insulin and victoza. The sweet tooth is there, but waning fast. Once in a blue moon now I want chocolate or something and a small candy satiates. Before I could've eaten the entire bag.

I am a chips and salsa, fries, cheese tray, salty foods kind of gal. I've only been logging 2 weeks, but I now crave chocolate! I stopped drinking wine 3+ weeks ago (this is only temporary), but I wonder if that also plays a role. Regardless, I can relate to having newfound sweets cravings.

Yep. I eat more candy now than I did when I was fat. I do it because it fits into my goals better. Like...I can't eat a bag of tortilla chips and guacamole anymore, and I don't want 7 stinking chips for 140 calories. But I can have two servings of some ice creams for 200 calories. Many times my lunches are sweet meals as well-pancakes, zoats with toppings like oreos and peanut butter, I've even made sweet egg white omelets.
