Please, please, please read the links found on this post:

You don't have to eat 1200 calories a day to lose weight! Based on your goals, you could probably eat 1600 a day or something and still lose 2 pounds a week. (I only wanted to lose about 60, and I ate around 1500 when I first started, and lost almost two pounds a week for the first 2 months.)
Best of luck!0 -
thanks
I may up the ante
I have 150 to lose
i was going to do 1200 a week for 2 weeks for a blast off thing0 -
Just going to echo what wewereundone is saying.
1200 is way too low with the amount you want to lose. I have about 50 left to lose and I eat over 1600 calories a day. That breakfast seems like a good one! Pretty balanced and will get you going for the day. You will have to eat more if you want to lose. Check out the links page!0 -

Make sure you go to the tools section and calculate your BMR, that will give you your minimum amount of calories you need to consume daily just to exist. For the amount of weight you are trying to lose, 1200 is to low and you aren't feeding your body enough. I agree read the posts in the link for newbies, they hold a wealth of information that will open your eyes. I know, increasing the amount you eat, seems to go against everything we were ever taught about how to lose weight, but maybe, since it never worked for us before, they were wrong and we don't need to starve ourselves skinny Once you aren't starving yourself every day, you actually start to look forward to doing this and really enjoy the control you will have over your body :bigsmile:0
