From March (when I started here) to December, I followed the MFP dietary guidelines.
Since Christmas, when I got Jillian Michaels book 'Making the Cut', I've been following her recommendations for calories, carbs, protein and fat. Time will tell if it makes a difference...0 -
I'm getting off my butt.
I'm watching what goes in.
I don't deny myself anything because I don't want to lose the weight doing something I couldn't keep up with forever.0 -

I eat whatever I want as long as I stay within the calories assigned by MFP. That being said, I like food and hate to be hungry so I tend to eat healthy food. My PT has me eating 5 to 6 meals a day, usually about 3 hours apart and every time I eat I have a protein and a carbohydrate (fruit, veggie or whole grain). Just eating healthy normally has me pretty well balanced with fat, protein and carbs. I'm usually a little high on protein but I don't really worry about it. I don't obsess about the numbers. By the end of the week they tend to even out.
Just recently, I've added in green tea (just grocery store stuff, not the beyond belief expensive diet stuff sold on some sites) and I'm supplementing my breakfast with an amino acid supplement.
I take a multi-vitamen every day and drink plenty of water.
I exercise every day. Usually 60 minutes of cardio and either some strength training or yoga.
It's been working pretty well up 'til now. The weight loss is a lot slower now that I have less to lose. It's been a little hard learning to accept that. It's all about patience and balance for me.0 -
I have the "You on a diet" book that I use as a guideline. I make a lot of the meals and incorporate my own...when I'm sticking to it. I really try to stick to the same breakfast, lunch and snacks every day and change up my dinners. It's nice that I don't have to think about multiple meals, creating the babies meals is enough for me to do. I've stuck to the same breakfast for two years, but everything else didn't stick and I was just trying to maintain, but over the holidays i gained some back so now I'm back to trying to loose the weight I gained plus reaching a new goal. It's not hard to follow, I just need a guideline and I can tell the difference when I cut out the corn syrups, sugars and "white" stuff etc...my tummy always gets flatter first, but right now I need it to move down to my butt, my jeans are too tight.0

I follow MFP's guidelines. I try to exercise at LEAST 3 times a week, but really it needs to be more for me. I try to stay as close to my calories as possible. I let myself have days off here and there if needed. I try to drink all my water and have my 5 fruits and veggies every day.
Basically, I do the best I can! I probably am not losing as quickly as I could be, but I wouldn't lose at all if it wasn't something I couldn't fit into my life.
I have been on sooo many diets and none of them worked for long. MFP really makes the most sense to me as a guideline for how to structure my eatting and exercise. Without it, I would still probably lose over the long term, but it takes a long, long time! I don't think any other plan is really necessary. MFP continues to work for me as long as I am staying within my guidelines.0 -
I am following the MFP plan, making good healthy food choices. Drinking a ton of water and exercising every day. I ride my bike each morning, about three or four days a week I take a walk also. The big one for my is that I quit drinking Coke. At least 5 of those a day times 140 calories each = 700 calories a day I am saving myself!0
