Help! How do I add friends?

I am trying to make new friends but to be honest I don't no idea how to add them. I will appreaciate if any one can teach me.

    Hey there! If you click the name of the person you want to be friends with, it will take you to their page - there is a little blue icon that's the shape of a person with a plus sign. Click that and send them a message to add them! I'm on my phone, so that's how it works on here anyway. :)
