I am 46 and need to lose closer to 50 lbs, but that scares me! So I am starting with a smaller goal of 15! I also work at a desk all day and have a hard time forcing myself to be active . . .0

Is there somebody you work with that you could walk with during lunch? Sometimes just having somebody holding you accountable helps0

Unfortunately I work in a one person office most days. But, I have a recumbent bike that I loaded up out of storage and brought up here to try to get me moving.0 -

Took a chance and jumped on the scale at the gym today. Was afraid it might be too soon and mess with my motivation. But, was pleasantly surprised to find that I've lost 4 pounds in the past 16 days! I know that will never be normal, but it's enough to keep me going to the gym when wind chills are around zero0

I'm Kellie and 50 and needing to lose about 50 lbs. I'm getting married in May and would like to drop at least 20 by then. I could use some accountability partners.0

Me too, 46 and need to lose 25 pounds to get back in shape and wear my sexy jeans0

Hey, I've been on and off here for a while and am back again - I just need the extra accountability to keep me on track with my nighttime snacking, more than anything. My big focus is clean eating, portion control, and getting in a workout every morning. I try to surround myself with healthy, supportive people, and it sounds like you'd be a great addition to those surroundings - if you want, find me on Facebook - Sandi Prosnitz. We can cheer each other on.0

I'm right there with you. I'm 52 and have 30 lbs. to lose. Have been saying I will lose this weight for 10 years now, and seem to add a couple of pounds every year. Starting today. Kept track of my calories - 1350 and did a 2 mile walk with Leslie Sansone. One day down.0
-
That's wonderful! Every little change is bringing that much closer to your goal!0

Wow, there's a lot of us here. I'm turning 50 this year and if that isn't enough, my daughter is getting married in August. How's that for motivation?0

UGH...guests in the office means people are ordering lunch. I will stick with my boring healthy lunch...even though the pizza smells really good. Have not been on track long enough to let myself fall off of it.0

Hi all! I'm 51 (closer to 52) Trying to be a healthier me. I found MFP about 2 weeks ago when I bought my fitness tracker. I started making changes to my lifestyle the end of last year, so far I have lost 11 pounds and working on more, 3 of those pounds were after joining MFP. I could stand to lose 50 pounds or more. Good luck to all!0
